SoC vulnerabilities have seen a large increase in the last 2 years. This increase is due to both the growing complexity of designs and increasing number of security features being added. These vulnerabilities impact the entire system and span both hardware and software. In this presentation, Dr. Oberg will discuss some of the latest hardware security vulnerabilities, discuss the common trend and importance of deploying a hardware root of trust, and the needed security verification techniques to ensure a secure system is properly being architected and designed.
